• Identify every public, school, and university library within your practice market area.
   
• Contact each one and find out if they would welcome multiple copies of Chicken Soup for the Dental Soul and Love Is the Best Medicine® for Dental Patients and the Dental Team as a gift. (Bear in mind that neither of these books are available in stores or through library wholesalers or distributors. It is highly unlikely that any of your local libraries have copies of these books.)
   
• Purchase copies of the books from DMD House at our special quantity discounts with free shipping.
   
• When you receive your books, place your practice contact information in the space provided on the first inside right hand page using sticky back labels or a rubber stamp. (You might even include a line that says, “New patients, schedule an appointment with our office and receive a free dental exam.” or words to that effect.)
   
• Distribute the books to the libraries and be sure to obtain receipts so you can use the cost of these promotional gifts as a tax writeoff.
   
• Wait for your new patients to call for an appointment.
