DMD House is looking for fresh, new, true, and touching or funny stories for our weekly e-letter.

What we're looking for:

What type of stories do we want? Obviously we’re looking for dental-related material. On this website you will find posted a more than a half dozen sample stories. Simply visit our Home Page, click on any one of the six individual book titles featured there, and follow the Sample Story links. A typical story should run between 500 and 750 words. We welcome dental stories from anyone within the profession and their families as well as stories from dental patients.

Worried about your writing skills?

Don’t be. If the elements of your story are moving enough, a DMD House editor will get in touch with you, conduct an interview to secure more material if that is required, and polish your story to a publishable state. (There is no charge for this valuable editing service.) No edited story will be published without the author’s final approval.

Who owns the story copyright?

You, the author, own the copyright. All DMD House asks is the NONEXCLUSIVE RIGHT to publish your story in our weekly e-letter. Furthermore, as explained above, we’ll compensate you for this use.

Where to send submissions.

Submitting a story couldn’t be easier. Simply create your story using any convenient word processing software. Be sure to add full contact information including your name, address, and day and evening phone numbers at the end. When you’re finished, highlight the entire document and copy it to your clipboard. Then click on our e-mail address, contest@dmdhousebooks.com, enter the words "Story Submission" in the subject line, paste your entry into the message area, and click Send. DMD House will provide an email response acknowledging receipt of your story not later than the next business day.
